TBOGI-HD, truck lateral instability detection

In addition to the truck performance monitoring capabilities of TBOGI, TBOGI-HD also detects laterally unstable trucks, a condition also referred to as truck hunting.

The system consists of three TBOGI modules installed in close proximity. The Tracking Position data (i.e. lateral position) of each wheel set is thus repeatedly measured and analyzed to determine if it is unstable.

Contrary to other technologies, the WID TOBGI-HD hunting detector provides data in physical units (i.e. mm displacement), not an arbitrary index.

TBOGI-HD detects not only severely hunting vehicles, but also low level instability incipient to hunting
